Junli’s Patent Upheld as Valid, Invalidity Request Rejected!
Invention Name: Modular Automatic Flood Barrier Device
Patentee: Nanjing Junli Technology Co., Ltd.
On January 4, 2026, in accordance with Article 46, Paragraph 1 of the Patent Law, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) conducted a review on the invalidation request filed against the patent owned by Junli Technology. A formal decision has now been made: the patent shall be maintained valid!
After more than five months, the review of the invalidation request against Junli Technology’s patent has finally concluded. Following a comprehensive examination, CNIPA has legally rejected all invalidity claims submitted by the petitioner, explicitly affirming the validity of the patent. This decision safeguards the enterprise’s core technological achievements by virtue of legal authority.
01 R&D Journey
Back in 2016, leveraging years of technological accumulation, Junli Technology independently developed the “Modular Automatic Flood Barrier Device” — the Hydrodynamic Fully Automatic Flood Prevention Gate, and successfully filed for an invention patent. This technology innovatively established a complete technical system encompassing 17 patent claims, effectively addressing the industry pain points of traditional flood control equipment such as low automation, high reliance on manual operation, and poor scenario adaptability.
On February 22, 2017, the patent was officially granted and announced. Over the years, relying on this core patented technology, Junli’s Hydrodynamic Fully Automatic Flood Prevention Gate has won extensive market recognition and acclaim for its safety, reliability, high efficiency and practicality, emerging as a benchmark product in the flood control and prevention sector.
02 Rights Protection Road
Nevertheless, amid the increasingly fierce industry competition, this technological achievement has encountered malicious challenges. On July 28, 2025, the invalidation petitioner filed an invalidation request with CNIPA, attempting to negate Junli Technology’s independent R&D outcomes.
Faced with this sudden malicious challenge, Junli Technology responded promptly, with its technical team and legal team collaborating closely. On September 3, 2025, the company formally submitted a written statement of opinions to CNIPA, clearly asserting that the involved patent complies with the relevant provisions of the Patent Law and possesses sufficient practicability, novelty and inventiveness.
On November 6, 2025, after rigorous examination and comprehensive evaluation, the collegial panel of CNIPA ultimately ruled that all invalidity grounds put forward by the petitioner are untenable, and legally made the decision to uphold the validity of the invention patent!
